Gotham Companies are a group of agencies that each specializes in an aspect of health care and health care staffing. The original Gotham Company, Gotham Registry, Inc., was founded in New York City by Charles Spear in 1952.
By the early 1970s, Charles Spear recognized that many health care facilities struggled not only with finding qualified full-time and part-time employees, but with fluctuating staffing needs. After many discussions with local hospital directors, Mr. Spear expanded Gotham’s service model to provide supplemental staffing, and with that, Gotham Registry pioneered the supplemental staffing industry in New York.
Gotham Companies evolved and expanded to include licensed home care providers, Travel Nursesand staffing agencies in four states. The companies are premier providers of long-term, intermediate term, and per diem personnel in facilities staffing.
From the beginning we have always enjoyed a wonderful reputation among nurses. And it is still true today for many professional, para professional and allied healthcare workers.
